Our site at Cowie in Scotland was the UK’s first manufacturing facility for MDF. Operating state of the art production lines in both MDF and particleboard, the site leads the industry in product development.

Inverness, Scotland

Our Inverness mill in Scotland was the first in Europe to manufacture Oriented Strand Board (OSB). It was also the first OSB plant in Europe to receive Forestry Stewardship Council® accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to the environment. Production at Inverness and Genk combines to make Norbord one of the largest OSB producers in Europe.

South Molton, England

Manufacturing particleboard, loft flooring panels, Contiboard DIY shelving and flat pack furniture, our South Molton site has led the field in championing sustainable forestry practices. It was the first board manufacturer in the UK to be certified to FSC® chain of custody standards and to obtain the environmental management system standard ISO14001.

Genk, Belgium

Genk became part of the Norbord European group in 2004 and since this time has strengthened its environmental credentials. Today, the mill produces OSB within the scope of its FSC® chain of custody certification for distribution across Europe, with key markets in the Benelux countries, Scandinavia, Germany, France and Britain.
